First off, thanks so much everyone for your suggestions. I took what everyone said here and offline to come up with the final options before I finalize it. I will note the changes and the image number above each one.
1: original
2: Changed the Q
3: Centered Dental a little more and made the font smaller, less stretched.
4: broke up the tag line and changed the font of the word dental, moved alls over to the right a little
5: Same as above only added the water drops
6: Removed lines, put broken up tag line on left for balance, put dental on right for flow of sentence
Thanks again, let me know your thoughts on favorites (and why if you are so inclined). This has been fun to put some photoshop skills into practice.

I vote #3. It feels the most balanced.
I like #6 the best and #2, second best. To me, #3 has to big a gap between dental and the line beneath it. I do like how you changed the Q in #2. Good luck!
Definitely #6.
I didn't like the split words at the bottom, I love the new Q, and the missing extra line is good.
I like 3 but the space between the word dental and the line below looks too big. I think a combo of 3 & 4 would be good too. With 4 have the words blow like they are on 3. Overall, though, I think 6 is best. I think the "Falls" part really stands out and I think that alone will be memorable for people.
I like #3 the best 'cause it's the easiest to read, with the different Q and and Dental moved, and the tag line together - I hate it when things like that are separated. Words should read properly in order. But I like the water drops. BTW, I saw a license plate today you would love. It read "2TH DK."
Ok, I was looking again, and to further elaborate (if you care), I don't like #6 because it reads "Snoqualmie Falls advanced family dentistry at the ridge Dental." Maybe I'm just weird, but I like it when things read in order. I don't like those doors with "caution" in the middle and writing on the outside either because they don't read in order. Or on the freeway when it says "only exit." I know the words are in the order you're coming on them, but to me they're just backwards. Maybe I'm just weird, but that's my two cents.
We like #3, but it's hard to say why. Good luck!!
I like #3
I like the new Q. the water drops make me think of a cartoon for some reason, it makes me smile, but it's really not funny.
I think I like #3. What would it look like without the line under Dental?
#6 looks really good too.
Way to go on all this, we are really impressed.
I'm so glad I have some people on my side about the balance! Sorry, Collette, but I agree with my sister (for once!) about the way the other one reads. But all the girls at Carson's office like yours the best, so it's been a hard sell to get him to come over to my side.
I like #4. But clearly, that's just me.
I am going to have to say logo #3. You have done a really good job.
#3 is the winner - The tag line is big enough to read. The water drops aren't realistic. I liked the centered Dental and the solid background makes it easy to read.
So cool. So, did you buy the Photoshop version or is this a legacy student version? Hahaha
I like your blog background too.
Good old photoshop elements 3.0! Using the help file has made me realize the program is more powerful than I thought. And, I don't see any reason to upgrade to version 6.0, old school baby.
Again, all I can say is what I know I don't like, and that is the water drops! Also, I prefer the tag line all on the bottom and not broken up with the Dental on the left side of the water. Probably 2 or 3 would be the favorites. In 3 I don't like how DENTAL is floating above the line so much but I like the balance cause in 2 there is more of a visual space on the right side of Dental. I am probably no help- sorry!
I think #3 will look the best large. Part of the problem is we are all looking at a small image. When images get blown up it can look very different.
I liked #6 too, but Hillary is right.
I'm not a fan of #3 because I actually like the Dental stretched out. I think it looks a little weird just floating out there like it is. I also am not a fan of splitting up the tagline at the bottom. I think it needs to stay together. Suprisingly I don't mind #6 because I also hate those signs that read wrong. But I don't have that problem with the sign because of the different font size and style.
I know I am way late on this, but because logo development was one of my specialties with Gov's office, I am chiming in on this anyway.
(1) I like the Q used in 2-6, not 1. Reasoning: when printed very small, the #1 Q will look like an O.
(2) I don't like #6. Reasoning: Your key message is that you are a dentist, but DENTAL is left to the very end. DENTAL should stick out most.
(3) On that point, I like having DENTAL offset/indented (#3-5) rather than aligned left (#1-2) for the same reason.
(4) I don't like the water droplets. Reasoning: It makes your professional image brand (waterfalls) look cartoonish.
(5) I don't prefer the split words at the bottom of #5, just because it breaks up the thought. But I liked the graphic feeling of #5 the best. How about moving "at" to be with "The Ridge"? That keeps the two different thoughts together. You offer "Advanced Family Dentistry" and it is located "at The Ridge".
(6) The space between DENTAL and the line needs to be a moderate distance (like #4). Not to close (#2) that it blurs in small typeface or too far that it looks like white space (#3).
(7) I like the Advanced Dentistry line to be in a small font, not too large.
(8) I think I would like #4 with DENTAL a bit less tall, and with "at" moved to the right hand side of the water circles.
Now that I offered my opinions, make sure you consider the different uses you will have for the logo. Obviously, you have letterhead, business cards, and marketing pieces (flyers, palm cards, mailers, etc). But also, think of it really big on a sign or as a decal on your office front door. Also think of it really small or "printed" in a way that is not actual printing (i.e., embroidered on a golf shirt).
So, usually, you will have a cluster of three "logos" for different usage.
(a) A main one such as what you have that will be used most often.
(b) A picture only logo (in this case, just your drawing of waterfalls and circles) that you would use for your own fun stuff or in tandom with the main one. For example, a coffee mug with the picture alone on one side and the other side with the full logo. Or a softball jersey (for the team you will sponsor when you make it big) with the picture alone on one side with the full logo on the other.
(c) A logo in the middle with your name and picture logo, but without the tag line "Advanced Family Dentistry..." This one you would use for placement in circulars where your logo appears next to other logos. For instance, you are one of 10 sponsors for the community theater and you want something that says your name, but easily stands out from the others.
Whew! I am long winded... Did you expect anything else?
Thanks Chuck. You basically wrote out exactly my thoughts. I personally like 4 the best with moving the word "at" to the right. That is how I made the final version. Since so many people like the last one I will use that one at times as well, but like you said I wanted Dental to feature prominently so I went w/ 4 over 6. As a happy medium, I will use 6 in some instances and 4 and portions of them as you also said at other times, depending on the medium. Great minds think alike!
