Dental Nerds

Too increase the viewing of this post by non-dental nerds I put this picture of bad teeth on a good face - Jewel.

Want to see where your state falls on the lost teeth chart? See this.

Thoughts:
  1. Go Utah
  2. Maryland and the negative effect of Baltimore is unduly misrepresented by some of its cities like Chevy Chase (CC median income is over 500k/year)

I can't believe with all of her money that she has those bad teeth. Hasn't she heard about a Dentists?

Aaron has always wondered why I teased him about West Virginia. Now I have stats to prove it! So, my father is a retired dentist and I can totally appreciate good, healthy teeth and a good smile. No cavities in this household.

just because she has crooked teeth doesn't mean she has "bad" teeth. Good grief, people!!! Her teeth actually appear to be very healthy...just crooked.

First of all to mr/mrs anonymous right before me, why not post your name? Second, crooked teeth is one of the main causes of periodontal disease and edentualism. So, just because she might be caries free at the moment, she in no way has a "healthy" occlusion. Her teeth aren't slighty crooked, they are very crooked and she even has a crossbite, which as any dentist can tell you is a recipe for problems. Her crooked teeth are much more than just an esthetic problem.

Anyone else notice the disparity in the number of states listed and the number we actually have in the union. There are 52 states listed, including District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Since there are 51 states, and the two provinces that should make a total of 53. But, it seems that Hawaii isn't a state worth examining teeth in, so they left it out. Interesting.

There are actually 50

Okay, there are 50 states. But that doesn't change the fact that even the US virgin islands was included, but the state Hawaii was left out.

this is a popular debate. i also don't understand why jewel doesn't got her teeth fixed with all that money. and i agree with cody i was a dental assistant and those teeth can cause multiple problems. #25 for wyoming not to bad considering if you come here i think 94% of everyone is missing some kind of a tooth or have nasty teeth. aslo, there are a lot of chewers yuck! i give everyone of them a hard time about it! and anonymous you should reveal yourself chicken! bock bock!

hey, are you guys related to a meredith calderwood? there's someone named that in our new ward...

Carson Calderwood said...

Not immediately, but we are probably a ways back. There were two main groups of Calderwoods that came to the USA. One to Pennsylvania and one to Utah/Idaho/Wyoming area. If she is from the Mountain west group we are if you go back a ways, but if from the other group you would have to go back a ways to Scotland. Probably more info than you wanted, but now you have something to talk about w/ her!

KatieB said...

maybe we are related too... my mom's maiden name is calder and they're from scotland.
